About Us

Raiden Restoration is my hard surface restoration company based in Lynnwood, Washington. My name is David Madsen, and I work with homeowners and commercial property managers who want tile, grout, marble, granite, travertine, limestone, slate, and other hard surfaces cleaned, restored, polished, enhanced, or protected with the right method for the material.

I built this company around a simple idea. A surface should be understood before anything is applied to it. That means looking beyond dirt or dullness and identifying what is actually happening, whether the problem is worn sealer, mineral buildup, staining, acid etching, surface wear, or grout discoloration.

I Started Raiden Restoration to Do Surface Work With More Care

I started Raiden Restoration because I wanted restoration work to be approached with more attention to the surface itself, not just the fastest product or process available. Tile, grout, and natural stone can look simple, but each material reacts differently to cleaners, sealers, polishing compounds, moisture, and wear. My philosophy is to understand the material first, explain what I see clearly, and recommend only the work that makes sense. Restoration should solve the real condition of the surface, not cover it temporarily.

Good Restoration Starts With Knowing What the Surface Can Handle

Professional hard surface restoration depends on material knowledge because cleaning alone does not solve every problem. Some surfaces need deep cleaning. Others need honing, polishing, sealing, recoloring, coating removal, or several treatments performed in the right order. I have seen surfaces that looked permanently damaged when the real issue was a failed finish or years of buildup. I have also seen surfaces where aggressive cleaning would have caused more damage because the material was already worn, etched, or chemically sensitive. That is why I do not use one treatment for every job Natural stone restoration requires careful judgment. Marble, granite, travertine, limestone, and slate have different densities, finishes, mineral compositions, and maintenance needs. Travertine cleaning and sealing, for example, is not approached the same way as polishing granite or correcting an etched marble surface. The material determines the method.

My Work Covers More Than Cleaning What You Can See

Raiden Restoration handles residential and commercial surface care, including tile restoration, grout restoration, stone restoration services, professional tile cleaning, natural stone cleaning, travertine restoration, marble refinishing, polishing, sealing, color sealing, stone enhancing, and stripping and coating. Some surfaces only need tile cleaning services or stone cleaning, while others need deeper restoration.

The goal is to recover as much appearance, function, and protection as the material realistically allows. Sometimes that means bringing back clarity and shine. Sometimes it means correcting uneven grout color, removing residue, protecting a porous surface, or making an older floor easier to maintain.

I am also careful about the difference between restoration and replacement. Restoration renews an existing surface when the material is sound enough to respond to treatment. Replacement is the better choice when the material is structurally damaged or beyond what surface work can reasonably correct. I would rather explain that honestly than recommend work that will not deliver a worthwhile result.

The Details Behind the Finish Matter as Much as the Finish Itself

A restored floor, shower, countertop, or stone surface should not only look better on the day the work is completed. The treatment should make sense for how that surface is used and maintained afterward.

Preparation matters. Residue can interfere with sealers. Moisture trapped in a porous surface can affect the final appearance. The wrong chemistry can create haze, discoloration, etching, or premature finish failure. Even a good product can perform poorly when the surface is not prepared correctly.

My approach is based on precision rather than rushing through as much square footage as possible. I look at the condition in front of me, choose the appropriate treatment, and pay attention to edges, grout joints, transitions, and areas of heavier wear. Those details often determine whether the finished surface looks consistent.

I Would Rather Recommend the Right Work Than More Work

Homeowners often contact a restoration company without knowing whether they need cleaning, polishing, sealing, grout recoloring, or something more involved. That is normal. The purpose of an assessment is to identify the problem, not to make the client diagnose it first.

When I evaluate a surface, I focus on what is necessary to reach a realistic result. If cleaning is enough, I do not want to turn it into a larger project. If a sealer has failed, I explain why another cleaning alone may not solve the problem. If restoration cannot correct the damage, I say that before work begins.

Raiden Restoration Is Local to Lynnwood and Focused on the Greater Seattle Area

Raiden Restoration is based in Lynnwood and serves homeowners and commercial properties throughout the greater Seattle metro area. Working in the Pacific Northwest means regularly seeing moisture exposure, frequent wet weather, indoor humidity, and maintenance habits that can influence grout and natural stone age.

Moisture can contribute to mineral migration and efflorescence. Repeated wetting can expose weaknesses in grout protection. Stone in showers, entries, kitchens, and commercial spaces can develop different problems depending on traffic, water exposure, and previous care.

That regional experience helps me look at a surface in context rather than treating every stain, dull area, or deposit as the same problem. The right solution depends on what caused the condition in the first place.

What I Want Clients to Expect From Raiden Restoration

I want the experience to be straightforward. You should know what I believe the surface needs, what the work is intended to improve, and where the limitations are before the project moves forward.

Trust is not created by promising perfection. It comes from clear expectations and careful work. Some stains are permanent. Some stone has physical damage that polishing cannot erase. Some grout needs more than cleaning. Explaining those limits is part of professional restoration.

When a surface can be restored, the difference can be significant. Dull stone can regain definition. Grout can look cleaner and more consistent. Tile can become easier to maintain. Protective treatments can reduce future absorption and staining. The result should make the space feel cared for again without pretending every material has an unlimited lifespan.
